Trauma and Yoga to help with Self-Regulation

TRAUMA SENSITIVE YOGA

The brain is the centre of the trauma response and disrupts important connections between the body and the mind sometimes causing life-altering syptoms in some people. We can become trapped in a cycle of suffering and pain and become disconnected from the world around us. Through Yoga, we can restablish internal and external connections to come to a place where we feel we belong and able to experience lief as it unfolds in a responsive instead of reactive manner. A yoga practice allows us to become more present by fostering the capacity for acceptance and adaptibily and awareness.
