I used to find the silence in yoga classes uncomfortable. Now I teach a yoga class where you can feel open and communicate and be yourself.
This yoga class still provides you with all the benefits such as improved flexibility, mental clarity and feelings of more happiness, as any other yoga class but without all the separation and silence. Building a sangha with big hearts is what this class is all about.

Feelings of grief, sadness, and anger can be built up and stored in the body. When these emotions are not properly expressed, the body and the mind tend to bring on more even self suffering through resistance and negative self talk. But there is wisdom in grief and you don't have to completely remove it to feel happiness again. You can have a sad chapter in life and then decades of compassion, happiness and love. If grief we understand that we can't change the past, but we can change the way we think about it and the way we express it.
Grief Yoga** uses awareness, expression and connection to allow you to begin accessing and accepting your inner wisdom through powerful heart-opening yoga asanas, breathing techniques to stimulate the brain, movement to release tension and holding patterns within the body, and the resonance of sound to connect body, mind, breath, to soothe and heal through vibration and soul.
Making time to recognize and honour your loss by acknowledging your loved one can reflect the everlasting love in your heart. You can take control of how you remember your loved one and remove resistance and all things that don't serve you and instead see happiness in your future. What if we allowed ourselves to grieve fully each and every loss? Be in the moment and move on to the next feeling that comes up. Honour grief, not sorrow.

Elke's personal yoga practice draws on many types of yoga including Hatha, Vinyasa, Kundalini, Let Your Yoga Dance, Laughter, Restorative and Yin Yoga from her inspiring teachers in her along with daily meditation and mantra to vibrate the soul.
Elke declared sharing her love and expression of yoga as her personal mission in life after moving out of negative self talk and unhealthy old patterns. Today, Elke is passionate about inspiring others to try a daily gratitude and/or meditation practice, and promotes the importance of Self Love and care. It is through these devotional practices of that we all can find true happiness and reconnect with others through compassion and peace and inspire others to bring positive change throughout the world.

Elke's own struggle with grief and depression after losing six family members and friends over fifteen months brought her to seek healing through Yoga and meditation. Elke believes in the importance of sharing Yoga through grief and difficult times because of Yoga's gift of emotional and physical liberation.
The reality is that you will grieve forever. You will not "get over" the loss of a loved one; you will learn to live with it. You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered. You will be whole again, but you will never be the same. Nor should you be the same, nor would you want to.
The first step in the healing process is awareness.
By becoming more open to presence through breathing and movement, we can develop a deeper wisdom into what the body is telling us and enhance our intuition.
Awareness creates the space for acceptance and surrendering into the present moment allows for more peace, happiness, and ease to flow into our body.
Letting go and surrendering can be one of the most challenging practices in grief.
Tapping into your body's inner strength and awareness allows fear, anger, sadness, doubt to move through you.
Your body always speaks the truth you can release negative thoughts and feelings through the Grief Yoga exercises and techniques using movement, breath and sound.

We are often in a place of struggle and suffering because we are seeking or missing connection. Connecting to your deeper inner guide through gratitude, love and appreciation of life will deepen your connection to others.
